NewBorn in Need Program

These items made for New Born In Need are donated to Parkland Hospital with some going to The Gladney Home.

Money is donated to the project to buy fabrics needed in addition to fabric donation. Once a month, our chairperson goes and picks up the fabrics for our guild to make quilts, receiving blankets, hats, diaper shirts, booties and socks for a needy new born baby.

At Christmas time, they fill a Christmas bag with a receiving blanket, t-shirt, hat, socks and booties, and a toy for each New Born In Need.

All of the items mentioned above are fast and easy projects and all the fabric and patterns are supplied to you.  Pick up fabrics and patterns from chairperson at our guild meetings and return, made items at the next guild meeting.  Just your time and loving work goes to earn volunteer points.

Volunteer Points

One point for each line item:

  • 2 whole-cloth quilts
  • 10 diaper shirts
  • 10 hats
  • 10 receiving blankets
  • 10 pair of socks
